The Discovery of Silk
According
to old Chinese legend, silk was discovered by Empress Hsing-shi,
at 2700BC. She found a fat wormlike creature munching the leaves
and spinning shiny cocoons.
She accidentally dropped
a cocoon into hot water, and at once a long, shiny mass of thread
began to come from cocoon.
From the next 3000 years,
only the Chinese knew how to spin and use silk. oher countries
asked the secret but the Chinese refused to tell them.
Eventually, Chinese monopoly
uses broken by cunningness of two Christian monks, sent by Empiror
Justivian in 550AD. The monks used heavy bamboo sticks as staffs,
and inside these they hid samples of silkworm's eggs and some
seeds of mulberry trees on which they fed. As a result, the silk
industry became established in Europe and then all over in the
world.

Money is not everything...
In this jet age, success
is measured by money. But in reality money is not everything.
No doubt, money is an important necessity to live comfortably
but it cannot provide mental peace and satisfaction at heart.
People who run after money suffer from diseases and lose the charm
of living.
They worship money as God.
Money can buy comfort of life but not love and peace, which is
also important. Wealth does not necessarily mean goodness; it
can be the root of many evils also. Money minded people are selfish
and greedy. They do not help anyone without their selfish motive.
According to a famous philosopher virtues lie midway. So one should
have as much money as needed to fulfill one's basic needs. A man
have a good heart is richer than a millionaire.
